So what exactly is an ethically sourced luxury boutique? For us, it means carefully curating products that are made ethically. We research where the products are made, who makes them and what materials are used. It is important to us that the makers use sustainable/upcycled materials. We also ensure that the makers are paid fairly for their work and are an appropriate age. We have many products that are fair trade certified, and We also love buying products made locally. As we are a business created and run by women we have a desire to support other women owned companies. At Gilded Cage, we don’t believe in half measures. We believe in radical kindness, which means doing good for this planet with reckless abandon, and this includes making sure your shopping experience is exemplary.
